Cane Creek Falls

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

Betsy and I visit Fall Creek Falls State Park here in Tennessee several times each year -- it's a special place for us. It also has five major waterfalls and is where we started our waterfall 'collection'. Cane Creek Falls is one of those waterfalls and is one of the first we saw together.

When I see travel brochures about Tennessee they always include your wonder falls in the photos.

Thanks for posting beautiful photos of the Cumberland Plateau region. My organization, Alliance for the Cumberlands is working to build a nation wide interest in this region as a destination and conservation priority.

We just launched an awesome Web site that helps people explore the region and build stop by stop itineraries. http://EdgeTrekker.com

If you have any photos that you can donate to our cause and use on the website then let me know -

Thanks!

It's a magnificent photo. Love how the water on the falls perfectly blend with the rocks.

do you and Betsy go in the water? My friend just wrote that her daughter in a Brstish International school in the Himalayas almost drowned. Slipped off a rock at a swift flowing waterfall.

We love waterfalls too. Five in one park? I will have to remember that if we are ever in that neck of the woods...

Awww, that's sweet! Wish I can see more of our waterfalls, but I realized quite some time ago that both my husband and I are just not outdoorsy people (except for beaches).

I apologize for disappearing again. My husband and went on a long road trip (I didn't have time to create scheduled posts) and when we got home a week ago, we discovered that we didn't have our land line or internet connection. Despite following up everyday (sometimes twice a day) no service crew has yet come to our house. I'm in an internet cafe in a mall right now. :(
