Yesterday I posted a picture of Ammons Creek Falls. This picture of my favorite hiking partner was taken on that hike. Betsy is smiling because when the picture was taken the hike had been mostly downhill. The uphill hike came after the picture was made. Betsy wouldn't let me take another picture when we got back to the car.

Funny, George! Actually, I used to climb quite a bit in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and after a few years my knees found it excruciating to come DOWN steep slopes. Going up was way more fun.

Always remember; it's better to have a hiking partner that be told to go take a hike!

Admit it George, you didn't get the uphill shot 'cos you were too out of breath trying to keep up with Betsy.
If I were Betsy, I wouldn't have allowed a picture after either ;)
Betsy is such an upbeat person. I'm sure she'd make a great hiking partner!
