Breaking Up a Road Trip

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

When Betsy and I travel long distances, we try to find a waterfall or hike that will break up the trip. On our trip to Florida we found both in the DeSoto Falls Scenic Area of Georgia. There we had a nice hike through some beautiful woods to Middle DeSoto Falls. There wasn't a lot of water going over the falls, but it was a great way to break up a trip.

That's a great way to enjoy the road, George. Otherwise, the journey becomesa chore. That looks like a wonderful spot.

That makes a lot of wonderful sense!

There may be little water, but the waterfall still looks refreshing and the greenery is just beautiful!

Besides the waterfall what makes this picture lovely is that you both look so happy.

Wonderful photo of you and Betsy. My hubby and I love to hike to waterfalls. Shenandoah is the closest park for us to see waterfalls.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting. You know I left the Smokey Mountain Park off my list, I have been there. My favorite part of the Smokies was seeing the bears on a loop drive trail. I also liked playing mini golf at a place called Hillbilly golf in Gaitlinburg?
We had a greast time there.

That's a nice way to keep from getting too seat weary. I think it's cool that the two of you are wearing matching shirts.
