Mon Cheri Rose

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

This is another new rose in our garden this year. The buds of this rose start pink, but open into a velvety red flower. It has a light fragrance, but we think it is a very showy rose.

How not to love a rose with a name so charming : Mon chéri, my darling. The name is itself a story... :o)

Beautiful color. Must be fun to watch it bud out from pink to a rich red.

What a wonderful rose George, you must spend hours tending your flowers and I love seeing the results on your blog. More please.
