Floor Show Iris
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)
My parents have grown iris for about as long as I can remember. I've always enjoyed their showy display, and now Betsy and I have them growing in our yard. But in addition to the regular varieties of iris, we also have some reblooming iris. That means we get to enjoy them twice each season. The picture of Floor Show above was taken in late October.

a wonderful 'show' indeed!!! Enjoy it.
What a Floor Show. It will gain more applause on the stage show.
Oh my. Just beautiful. How fortunate to have "two shows"!
Wow, love those colors.
Gorgeous colors. To be able to enjoy them twice a year is a treat.

What lovely color!
Reblooming - I definitely need some of those. :)
Wow! That's a very extraordinary iris! Very beautiful and so wonderful to have a flower that blooms twice!
Thanks for your visit! Yes, reading is, for me also, a second life!
The joys of living in the South. I don't think any iris rebloom here...but I could be wrong.
It looks like 2 beautiful flowers in one!!
What a wonderful flower and the fact that you get to enjoy it twice is even better.
lovely!
Now that's utterly amazing. Wow. Thank you, George.
What an interesting combination of colors. How nice to have them blooming so late in the year.
Sunny :)
I love how the center and outere leaves are different colors. Nice to have them bloom twice a year!
George they are beautiful, and it is nice to see that the tradition was passed on. My parents used to have them too, but then we moved to Canada, and have not had any opportunity to grow anything my parents had, except the chestnut tree. Anna :)
