Dunes at Sunset Beach

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

A wonderful way to spend a wintry evening is to enjoy a good cup of tea in front of a roaring file while planning a vacation at the beach. Betsy and I will go to the coast of North Carolina in May. The picture of the dunes above was taken at Sunset Beach, North Carolina, one of our favorite places.

Wow!! I enjoy a good cup of tea too even though I do not have winter over here.

I just have to make sure no tea being spilled over onto my notebook.

I bet the beach does look good when you are snowed in. Have fun dreaming and planning. MB

I thought you were going to spill the beans about your Valentine's surprise but no such luck!

I'd love to feel some nice warm sunshine just about now.

Looks pretty inviting right about now. We just got lots more snow yesterday and may get 41 inches over the weekend. Do you and Betsy prefer beach weather or colder?

Lovely shot George, when I first saw it I thought it was snow until I realised it is white coral sand.

I love sitting in front of fire. I have a gas log burning fire place, and could not survive without it. Make mine coffee, and I will join you. At least, you have a nice trip to look forward to in May.

Ah...now that is something to look forward to!

That is a wonderful shot of the dunes, George. We have never been to Sunset Beach but would love to see it someday.
Beaches are beautiful gifts of the sea.

Have a wonderful day , George :)

Lovely view of the beach makes for an interesting contrast with your icy header. We have a 'Sunset Beach' here in So Cal too ;-)
