Icy Trees on the Mountain
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)
Although we had a snow/ice storm here in the Glade a week ago, the picture above was taken in March at Mount Nebo in Arkansas. An overnight ice storm left the trees coated in ice.
Always a lovely sight unless it doesn't melt soon enough and the limbs start falling. I'm hoping we won't have that as our rain turns to sleet and snow later tonight. Lovely shot!
I'm a happily married retiree living on the Cumberland Plateau of Tennessee. I taught for 31 years and worked as a systems analyst for 9 years before retiring.

I trust soon we will not be seeing these kind of scenes. We have had enough, but guess mother nature knows what she is doing.
This looks like a fairy tale! Beautiful, George! I also like your frozen waterfall!
I must apologize, because I called you Roger in one of my previous comments.Sorry! ;)
This picture is lovely, but clicking on it really makes it something! You can see the way the light is shining on the ice.

Lovely shot!
Does it look like fairy tale?
Yes!!! Of course.
The ice makes the trees look unreal. The sparkle is pretty.
Blessings,Ruth
Pretty view of the icy trees.
Hope things have warmed up for you now.
WOW! Zooming into the picture amazed me more!!
I didn't know Arkansas had ice storms. I thought that was reserved for the NORTH!
Wow. I imagine a lot of little branches would snap and break under the ice's weight.
