The Great Wall

I like this picture, taken in 1987, for a couple of reasons. First it shows how much of the Great Wall followed the ridge line for much of it's length. I'm also impressed with the way that the builders didn't let things like rock outcroppings deter them from their designed path.

Wonderful image.

My Mother went to China about 8 years ago. She loved it. She went with a small group of college students and they loved her right back. MB

Now THAT'S a picture of the great wall! Certainly better than any of mine. Yes, I see how it follows the ridge, I just love the angle you got there!

It is interesting how it follows the ridge. I'm always amazed at the Wall remaining in such good shape.

I like the angle you shot this from. I can't even imagine the work it must have been to build this!
