Icy Trees on the Mountain

Although we had a snow/ice storm here in the Glade a week ago, the picture above was taken in March at Mount Nebo in Arkansas. An overnight ice storm left the trees coated in ice.

I trust soon we will not be seeing these kind of scenes. We have had enough, but guess mother nature knows what she is doing.

This picture is lovely, but clicking on it really makes it something! You can see the way the light is shining on the ice.

Always a lovely sight unless it doesn't melt soon enough and the limbs start falling.
I'm hoping we won't have that as our rain turns to sleet and snow later tonight.

I didn't know Arkansas had ice storms. I thought that was reserved for the NORTH!

Wow. I imagine a lot of little branches would snap and break under the ice's weight.
