National Rose Month: Southern Belle

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

Southern Belle is another of our new roses this year. It's a beautiful two-tone yellow and the name seems very appropriate for my Virginia-born bride.

OOOOH, this one would be my cup of tea! And I can even see and almost feel the velvety texture of the petals.

Beautiful! Today I was outside dead-heading mine. The Knockouts are doing quite well. The English and hybrid teas, on the other hand, are not. I guess our rainy weather is affecting the blooms.

This one looks like she's blushing through her youthful beauty, just like a belle.
