Drawing from a Photo: Mt. Nebo Cabin

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

I never had much artistic ability, although I have always admired people who could play a musical instrument or create beautiful art. So I became very intrigued when I learned how to create a line drawing from a photograph.

The photo above is a picture of 'our' cabin on Mount Nebo in Arkansas. The picture below is the line drawing created from it using Adobe Photoshop.

The second one looks a bit more modern and airy, they each have a different atmosphere now. Did you get a new photo editing program?

I'm intrigued, too. I wonder how the heck they do that with software!

Looks like you sat out there in the yard with pencil and sketchbook and drew away.
A nice rendering of the cabin!

George, that is amazing what you did. I wish I knew how to do just anything different. However, I would need a better camera than what I have. I dearly love that cabin. What a lovely place. I can see why you enjoy going there so much.

Hmm - not much artistic ability? You my friend have creativity at your very core. The images you see through your lens are all works of art. Photoshop just continues that process - enjoy!
