Flowers From Our Yard: Honey Glazed Iris

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

The first of our iris bloomed last Thursday (April 21). Honey Glazed is one of our re-blooming iris, so we're hoping it will put on another display in October.

Such sunny and bright colors - a welcome sight after the dark and dreary weather we had yesterday.

Trust none of those storms destroyed these lovely flowers. It would be such a shame having anything destroyed, but nature has her own way at times.

You really got the texture, it looks like crepe paper, it is beautiful.

was wondering what are the dark yellow below the flower, Think they're old flower petals. Look at the different shades of yellow. It's magnificent.

Nashville sure has a great goalie :)
I think I heard people say the top two league goalies were with Nashville and Boston.

It's a gorgeous iris! Thanks for your comments on my "ugly eggs" blog post. Haven't been online in a while, and didn't come by to say hi after you posted it. Hope you are doing well!
