Little River
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)
The distance from Townsend, Tennessee, to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, along Little River Road in the Smokeys is less than 20 miles, but it usually takes Betsy and me two or three hours to make the trip. That's because we usually stop at every pullout along the river to enjoy the view. I snapped this picture in March, 2008.

This looks like some very busy water.
This is worth to stop at every pullout.
And I am glad that both of you have done that.
That's lovely and pretty clear water! Even while we travel sometime the short distance will take longer as we used to stop taking pictures at every turn if it holds beautiful sight.
your drive sounds like my walk in Emerson point preserve, to walk a mile takes a couple of hours.
Just beautiful.....
Another great Falls shot from the King of the Falls Photographer.
Now this is truly artistic how the water flows so clear and then touches upon something to create this white effect.
Wonderful shot George,.
Lovely, George. It almost looks like snow in this one!
lovely waterfall photo! i can almost hearing it rushing-beautiful!
I can really relate.
That's a neat looking river waterfall!
I am glad that at each stop you get these fabulous pictures to share here.
I have a cousin who lives in E TN and she hikes a good bit. I often hear about some of the places you and Betsy go from her as well. It's a beautiful part of this planet that is for sure!
Beautiful river but not so little I guess.
Thanks for your visit to my blog,..appreciate your comments. I'd been away at my hometown and didn't have time to check out yours earlier.

Wow, super photo!
That is a beautiful drive. Patti and I don't stop that often but there are a lot of nice places to stop and look or listen to the water. It is so peaceful.
