Sonia Rose

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

In a normal year Betsy and I wouldn't see any of our roses in bloom until after we got back from the beach in early May. But everything is blooming earlier than normal this year, and the roses are no exception. Sonia was the first of our roses to bloom. The blossoms are a pink blend with a fruity fragrance. Sonia is one of our container roses and we've had it for several years.

Sonia is so lovely :)

I think this year everything seems arrived early like the summer which touched the peak here even in late winter.

The light is just right on it! And even though the roses bloomed so early, it doesn't matter, does it...because they bloom all summer!

I still can't see how you are able to have such a splendid yard, travel, photograph, blog... There are only 24 hours in a day. Could I borrow an ounce of your energy? I doubt you would miss it and I could really use it.

It's another of your beauties. I hope it survived the storms tonight - - - if you got the same ones we did.
