A Cloudy Morning on the Mountain

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

Sunsets and sunrises are always special on Mount Nebo in Arkansas. That's one reason -- but not the only reason -- we go back every year. We can enjoy the sunsets from the back of our cabin, but we have to get up and drive to Sunrise Point to see the sunrise. This picture was taken on a cloudy, foggy morning on our visit in 2011. We didn't see much of the sun that morning, but I did get this picture of the fog and clouds in the valley below us.

It is a VISION in blue!!! It really looks like a painting, I can't tell where the sky ends and the ground starts or how much is sky. But on to your header....LOVE IT!!!!

As soon as I saw this beautiful photo of dawn, I thought of the hymn "Morning is breaking for the first time..." and will probably be singing it for the rest of the day!

An incredible photo! I loved seeing the tiny pinpricks of light from the building down below the mist when I enlarged it. So beautiful!

The roadrunners, fortunately, don't hunt too often in my yard. Thanks for all your recent comments.

The lighting is amazing here; I love all the blue tones. You're so high up that it feels like I'm looking out of the window on an airplane!

I love that "above the clouds" feeling. It reminds me of our drive down the Blue Ridge Parkway two years ago. Good shot!
