Summer of Love Rose

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

The name of this rose, Summer of Love, first attracted my attention -- it seemed like a perfect rose for our yard. We've had it in one of our containers for a couple of years now, and we like not only the name but also the beautiful colors and light fragrance.

A perfect choice that fits you and Betsy.

This looks like two different colors, George. Maybe they cross bred two different roses to get it.

How do you control insects and diseases on your roses, George? They look so perfectly healthy. Really admire the grades of color in this one. And what a challenge to come up with the right names for all the roses we now have. This rose and its name are so complementary.

BTW, I scrolled down to check out some of your photos of the Plateau and they were very exciting shots. Don't know if you ever participate in the Monday Quotography meme but thought you might like to know that this next Monday is "water." You'd be the star if you participated!

That rose resembles one that always comes back into my memory from some occasion a long time ago. I can almost smell this one. Thank you for posting this and thus bringing a touch of nostalgia to my mind.
