Surf's Up

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

I went to my archives to get this picture of the pier at Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina. We didn't have surf quite this heavy when we were there this year. I think this picture shows that the beach can be a beautiful place even without the bright sun.

I can almost feel the breezes and that slightly dizzying feeling you get, walking along the edge of the water.

That is so beautiful. I am not a water person but I think I would enjoy sitting on that beach (as long as it wasn't too hot:) ).

Maybe it's because I live so far inland but I do love the ocean with it's beaches and waves. Nice one George.

The pier looking so tiny way back there, it also shows how big the beach is!

It looks so inviting. I wish I could walk on such beaches every day but ours come in with the tide and then they are not so clean.
Kinda spoils the thrill.Where its nice the water is ice cold all summer.
lol

Agree George. This photo has a softness about it--very peaceful. You could think some lofty thoughts walking along here. Love how you've caught both the horizontal and vertical movement of the waves.
