Middle Desoto Falls

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

One nice thing about visiting waterfalls is the hike that it often involved in getting to the waterfall. In August we visited Desoto Falls Scenic Area in Georgia and hiked to Middle Desoto Falls. The falls, and the setting, were very peaceful and tranquil.

I love how the water looks - almost like its gently going over the rocks. A very pretty scene!

The water seems like flowing from the sky, through the hole with bright light.

I'm glad you enjoyed my peace globe today George. I hadn't heard about Fort Hood until I read your comment.
Reading so many posts today filled with passion about peace I have had tears in my eyes for hours. You lovely waterfall shot is peaceful and calming for me - just what I needed.

There is a certain peacefulness about gently falling water. The soothing sound must be partly responsible for that.Beautiful picture.

It is beautiful, but Georgia in August? I think it would be to humid for this Sierra Hiker.

That is a lovely tranquil scene. Getting to see that waterfall would be worth a very long walk.

And again, I am struck by the beautiful rock formation! It looks like slate.
