Mister Lincoln Rose

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

Mister Lincoln is one of the oldest roses in our yard. I had my first Mister Lincoln rose more than 30 years ago when I lived in North Carolina. Mister Lincoln is a beautiful red rose with a delightful fragrance.

Mr. Lincoln is beyond handsome, although that description sounds hardly appropriate.

George, if I could handle a camera one tenth as good as you and Betsy, I'd be a happy camper!

This does look like an old fashioned rose. I love the way you snapped the rose with the bud standing right up beside it. All your roses look perfect in every way...you are a good daddy to them!

The color is gorgeous. I am envious of your memory....I only have 3 rose bushes...and I can only remember the name of one of them. :)

I think we all have a rose that we especially love. For me it's Peace. At one time I had a Peace climbing rose that tumbled all over the fence with full blown roses. This blue red color of Mr. Lincoln is magnificent.

I'm not sure what to call this red, but it's gorgeous!

I so wish I had taken this shot. This is just so eye catching. That magenta against that green - I am in heaven! Which explains why I have been out of touch.... as always your work is wonderful!
