Looking Forward to Autumn
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)
The day-time temperatures have finally cooled and the skies have been a glorious blue for the past couple of days. Some of the trees are starting to turn and we're looking forward to scenes like this in the days ahead.
Autumn used to be my favourite season, because of the variety of coloured trees. Those red ones are extremely brilliant. In Indonesia we didn't have four seasons like in the northern hemisphere. It was kind of boring to see the eternal green. Thanks for your visit and have a great week.
We've noticed some of the trees around here are turning a bit, too -- so early for this area! I understand that points north are experiencing this too. It's reasonable to expect that we'll see a lot of color on our cruise!!
Oh wow - what a magnificent sight. One of the things on my "To to before I die" list is to see the Fall in the USA. You are lucky to have it all on your doorstep. Thanks for the blog - I feel like I have been on holiday already.
What awesome colors This is what I miss in BC. In Quebec the whole province seemed to be on fire with this splendid display of reds and orange. I used to love collecting the leaves . They were almost perfect without any blemishes on them. Here in BC we do not have the same colors but the leaves are much much larger. Sometimes you get leaves about a foot wide. Everything grows big out west. In Oregon they have HUGE pinecones Some could range to the foot tall arena. Fall is my favorite time of year. :)
fall is my favorite season because of the foliage. i really love the colors of the sceneries... it looks magical i even like the chilly weather compared with hot humid summer.
I was out on a little trip today and saw some scenes almost like this here already. There were red and yellow trees. It poured the rain down on both ways of my trip and I didn't have a chance to take any pictures. It won't be long. This image is beautiful!

When the Lord created the 4 seasons (not he hotel chain) I think He added a little extra special touch when He created Autumn. :-)

Stunning! They look like they were each placed there very carefully for effect. But then, they were, weren't they?

A beautiful sight to behold! I have noticed the sky is bluer, the nights are much cooler and the days are so clear. A wonderful season indeed.

Oh those colors certainly are pretty.
There are a few signs of autumn here too, George. I always get the urge to travel with my camera when the trees start to turn colours. :)
The colourful season is upon us George.
Terrific photo! It captures so many of the beautiful shades of autumn. I'm ready for autumn too.

I hope the dry summer we had this year doesn't effect the fall colors in a negative way.
