Colors on Monday: Blue
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)
Jen at Unglazed is hosting a mini meme, Colors on Monday. This week's color is Blue.
The deep blue of periwinkle blossoms (above) tell us that Spring really has arrived. We have periwinkle growing where rock slabs and tree roots make mowing almost impossible.
The sky above Fairfield Glade is often a gorgeous blue, even during the cold days of winter.
But my favorite blue is the blue brought out in my Beautiful Bride's eyes when she's wearing blue.

Happy Labor Day and Happy Blue Monday George! What a great post today for the color blue. The photo of Betsy is beautiful and I love the periwinkles and that crisp, blue sky over the Glade. You two enjoy the day.
The periwinkles in South East Asia are like a small bush.
Please tell Betsy she is lovely. Did she dress up for you to take her some place romantic?

So much pretty BLUE....I think Betsy is the purrrrtiiessstt though. ;)
Of course Betsy is the Queen of your blues...mmm...seems like a country music song!!! She is a beautiful lady!! Those flowers are a gorgeous blue...great photos George!!!!
Happy Monday George!
Good thing Betsy used those pretty blues to find you. :)
Wow, that is a lot of periwinkles George. Very pretty for sure!
Happy blue Monday!
Lovely photos for Blue Monday! Hope you and Betsy have a great day!
Wonderful collection of blues. The blanket of periwinkle is so pretty! I also love that clear blue sky -so calming. But Betsy's smile outshines the other photos. This photo of her is obviously taken by someone who is so inlove with her! :)
That is a great picture of Betsy. She looks so pretty in her bright blue. You should post that pretty sky and tree shot on Sky Watch. It would be perfect for it.
I am glad you have a "blue" day.
Great blue pictures.
summer is really over. the leaves are already changing color and some already on the ground. it's time to take advantage of is left and enjoy the last few blooms.
Your blue pictures just pop with color today! And that last picture with caption is sweet.
Have a good Monday!
a carpet of blue and a smiling blue betsy, what could be better.
Nice selection of beautiful blues, and extra points for your last picture and caption!
look at those gorgeous blues! you are quite the romantic, you two are lucky to have one another, but you both know that!
Terrific blues you captured here! You're so sweet! I wonder if your eyes match Betsy's?
All of your blues are beautiful! :-)
Oh, George, these pictures are stunning, and not making me blue at all!! An especially good shot of Betsy. She is always sunny yellow and in the pink, the farthest thing from blue that I know!!
Beautiful blues! I love the blue sky peeking through the bare winter tree.
Well with all the flowers you have I am sure your bride is beautiful and happy as the picture shows. :)
But I have to say Ah HA!!! For once I have blue flowers like this as well in my garden. lol
Blue by you George.
A lovely post, George!
Kisses.
Wonderful collection of blues, George!
Excellent blue photos George. You are such a romantic...No wonder Betsy is crazy for you! You 2 lovebirds have a great week!!
You do blues like nobody! Wow. Gorgeous.
Blue is often associated with sadness but each of these photos made me happy with the one of your beautiful bride putting the biggest smile on my face of all. Really nice work George.
Lovely!
I could almost feel the crisp air when I look at the tree.
Seeing Betsy's smiling face always makes me smile too. :)
Ahhhh! So sweet!
There is nothing prettier than blue/purple flowers.
Unless of course it is indeed Betsy's eyes :)
Such an endearing post !
What a lovely blue carpet under your trees in the spring!
The last shot and the text is a WINNER. :)
You made me smile again with this post. The periwinkle is gorgeous but the love you have for each other is the most amazing thing I have ever encountered. Bless you both.
That is very cool. Blessings to you both.
