Dogwood Blossoms

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

Our pink dogwood tree is somewhat scraggly, but when the afternoon sun hits the blossoms, the color is just gorgeous.

Hi George, What a beautiful shade of pink. My neighbor just planted two pink dogwoods next to her pink weigela. Hope you enjoy your Monday.

This is one of the dark pink ones, which people around here seem to call red. We only have a few of this color in the area, they are so pretty!!!

How appropriate that you posted Dogwood at Easter time. Have you ever heard the legend of the dogwood? If you haven't, then for kicks I recommend that you google it. It's "legend" so I cannot attest to its veracity, but interesting, nonetheless.

The splendid color of the dogwood for the flowers that you show us you're getting your garden envy. A greeting.

That is one thing I miss about East Texas, where I came from. We always had so many dogwood trees in all colors. Here I seldom see them.

Wow - we are quite a way from seeing dogwood blossoms - just getting leaves on trees right now. It seems like it has been a long winter up here, and spring, so far, has mainly meant rain...
