Ice on the Mountain
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)
When Betsy and I visited Mount Nebo in Arkansas in March, 2009, we got caught in an ice storm. Fortunately we had plenty of firewood at the cabin and could enjoy the day. I did venture out to get some pictures of the ice-covered shrubs and trees. This is one of those pictures.

Ice storm - That must be dangerous if you face such thing middle of nowhere!
Beautiful picture!
What if you did not have enough firewood....
You were sure very lucky.
What a wild coincidence, because my blog today is about frozen fog. This is a really lovely picture, with the mountains framing it.
Beautiful view, and the icy white shrubs make it even prettier.
Beautiful view. The ice is really magical, too bad it so dangerous.
Sunny :)
This is a pretty photo, I like the contrast of the green grass against the icy bushes.
beautiful icy shrubs and your blog header is wonderful! I am glad you had fire wood, that can make all the difference.
I love the look of ice on shrubs!
I've been in ice storms and been without electricity for days because of it but the tree branches are so very lovely to look at as are your shrubs.
What a view!
It's kind of strange seeing the ice among the greens and blues of your photo, but beautiful. Glad you and Betsy stayed warm.
