The Niagara River
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)
The Niagara River below the falls is wild and full of rapids. But all that water rushing over and around boulders in the river makes for some fascinating captures. This picture was taken from an observation deck at water level in August, 2002.

I do not think the water right now can be as wild as that being shown.
You have really captured the power of the water. Good shot, George.
Sunny :)
You won't catch me with my toes in this river!
It amazing how powerful water is. I love the color!
It's interesting to wee that fast flowing water. I'm just glad I'm not in it!
Goodness, wild and dangerous looking. I imagine if the water didn't kill you, the rocks would! It looks like you are right in it, but an observation deck instead! I bet it was noisy.
I am fascinated by the water's colors!
Another great falls shot. You hear of storms chasers, well I believe you and Betsy could be classified as rapid falls chasers. Just always be careful.
I completely agree with you. This is an awesome capture, George!
Water is so powerful. If you went in there you would come up miles downstream. MB
That is water with amazing power!
Niagara is on top of the list of places we want to see. You guys are fortunate to have seen a lot of wonderful places. :)
which side were you on when you took the photo, the American or the Canadian?
Gill in Canada
That water is gorgeous, George.
A raging water. Beautiful one!
The color of the water is gorgeous!
Wish all waterways were as beautiful.
