Colors on Monday: Green

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

Jen at Unglazed is hosting a mini meme, Colors on Monday. This week's color is Green.

When I think of 'green' I think of the Spring grass in our lawn, the new leaves coming out on the trees and the spring flowers growing in our flower beds.

The terraces of Bali showed different shades of green. (The picture above was scanned from a slide.)

But my favorite green is the green socks Betsy wore on our first visit to Fall Creek Falls when we were first dating back in 2001.

Three cool kinds of green! Love the terraces, are they for farming purposes? And of course I'm green with envy over those socks!

By this time of the summer, it's easy to forget just how green everything is in early Spring. Great green pictures George....and Betsy's socks are the cutest!

I am sure the first one is from your beautiful yard. It would not matter what color socks Besty wore you would like them.

Green is good. Especially when I have to cross eastern Colorado on the way to visit my son and family. :)

I love the green grass of Spring. It just pops with color. The picture of Bali is spectacular. And it's sweet that you dedicated part of you green post to your wife.

:) Love Betsy's socks!
Such a quiet reflection shot of her.
Things are turning brown now and while I love fall, your thoughts make me wonder back to spring.

Those terraces are interesting to this midwesterner. And extra points for bringing back good memories. (I did that for orange of all colors)

I think I take our lush green Scottish scenery for granted but after the winter I really do look forward to the new greens of spring.
