Cumberland Mountain Dam and Bridge

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

The picture above was taken at Cumberland Mountain State Park in Crossville, Tennessee, last March. The dam and bridge was built by the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corp) in the 1930s and is the largest masonry project built by the CCC. The bridge was renovated in 2009.
I like the reflections in the lake.

I love the reflections in the lake, too! The stone work in the bridge is really something. The CCC did nice work.

I like the reflection too.
Isn't it something how things built by the CCC and WPA have lasted so long. MB MB

They did a fabulous job. Our hard times spawned some fine public work.
