Colors on Monday: Blue

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

Jen at Unglazed is hosting a mini meme, Colors on Monday. This week's color is Blue.

The deep blue of periwinkle blossoms (above) tell us that Spring really has arrived. We have periwinkle growing where rock slabs and tree roots make mowing almost impossible.

The sky above Fairfield Glade is often a gorgeous blue, even during the cold days of winter.

But my favorite blue is the blue brought out in my Beautiful Bride's eyes when she's wearing blue.

Happy Labor Day and Happy Blue Monday George! What a great post today for the color blue. The photo of Betsy is beautiful and I love the periwinkles and that crisp, blue sky over the Glade. You two enjoy the day.

The periwinkles in South East Asia are like a small bush.

Please tell Betsy she is lovely. Did she dress up for you to take her some place romantic?

Wonderful collection of blues. The blanket of periwinkle is so pretty! I also love that clear blue sky -so calming. But Betsy's smile outshines the other photos. This photo of her is obviously taken by someone who is so inlove with her! :)

That is a great picture of Betsy. She looks so pretty in her bright blue. You should post that pretty sky and tree shot on Sky Watch. It would be perfect for it.

Oh, George, these pictures are stunning, and not making me blue at all!! An especially good shot of Betsy. She is always sunny yellow and in the pink, the farthest thing from blue that I know!!

Blue is often associated with sadness but each of these photos made me happy with the one of your beautiful bride putting the biggest smile on my face of all. Really nice work George.

There is nothing prettier than blue/purple flowers.
Unless of course it is indeed Betsy's eyes :)
Such an endearing post !

You made me smile again with this post. The periwinkle is gorgeous but the love you have for each other is the most amazing thing I have ever encountered. Bless you both.
