Lost Creek Falls

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

I can't resist posting pictures of Betsy taken on some of our hike -- it's just too bad that some old guy is with her in some of the pictures. This picture was taken back in 2006 at Lost Creek Falls here in Tennessee. Lost Creek gets its name from the fact that it disappears underground about a mile from this waterfall, emerges from a cave at the top of this descent, and then disappears underground again just to the right of the pool shown.

You both looked good and very happy. I bet when you both said "I do" you knew you can't do any better.

I am sure you could have stayed out the picture, but that old guy goes real well with that lady.

the Lost Creek seems to be an interesting place to visit.

It's obvious you enjoy your time together. Do you find you cherish your time with her more now than in early years when life was busier? My husband and I are recognizing that aspect.

That's a cute photo of you and Betsy. Interesting that Lost Creek "disappears."

Waterfalls are always fascinating and so are caves. Do you also explore caves? In Wales we saw some of them.
Thanks for your comment.

That's a great photo. Water is amazing the way it finds its way where we would least expect it. It's fun. There are many underground rivers here. I would love to be a small fish and find my way in and out, up and down.

Craver is so funny. :)
That water is so clear - I'd want to wade around.
You're not old George. Just consider yourself to be like a fine wine - well aged!

What a great waterfall !
Love it's name too, it's one of the prettier falls with crystal clear water.
So who took the photo ;)

How interesting that the creek flows underground and only reveals itself for a little way on its journey. I bet it was a big surprise for the first humans who discovered it.
