Black Mountain View

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

Black Mountain, which is only about 15 minutes from our house, has a nice hiking loop around the top. The trail is pleasant any time of the year, but the view from the overlooks is wonderful in winter. This picture looks across the Sequatchie Valley toward the Smoky Mountains in the distance.

Well, you live in the black mountains and I live in the blue ones. This shot does make them look black, is that why they are called that?

Oh, that is dreamy and uplifting. Seems cliche, but I don't mean it to be. Wow.
