Evening in the Mountains

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

Our good friends Judy and Charlie have a cabin in the North Carolina mountains near Franklin. They have invited us to visit them and enjoy the grandeur of the mountains from their deck. This picture was taken one evening last May.

I've been to Franklin, TN, but not Franklin, NC. And now I like both.

The black trees up against the pink sky are sharp and lovely, a study in contrast!

George if you can paint this would be a great picture to begin with Start with the sky and go down and then the trees on the side. I love making murals and have to hold back when I see pictures I like to paint. lol

The silhouettes of grey and black are stunning against the pink sky.
