We've been enjoying the tulips in our yard this year -- they've put on quite a show. The tulip above is one of the new ones in our yard this year -- Life's a Cabernet. I have no idea how it got that name, but it is pretty.

I love the deep red color of tulips.
right now with all your tulips and other beautiful flowers in your yard, Life Is a Cabernet for sure
Red is always beautiful.
Truly love that flower and its great name.
Red tulips are so perky and cheerful. This is such a pretty shade of red.
And here I thought Cabernet Sauvignon came from grapes.
I've seen your comments on so many of the blogs I follow, I just had to stop by -- I'm glad I did. I think your photos are remarkable! I'm afraid to ask about the stag... Kathy
PS I'm retired from education as well.
Hmmm...isn't Cabernet wine? Whatever reason, it's beautiful!!
