An Almost Super Moon

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

We didn't see the Super Moon on Saturday night because of heavy clouds and storms at our location. But we had a beautiful, clear sky Sunday night and I captured this picture of the moon as it rose off Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina.

Beautiful capture.
In India, this is summer and we were lucky to watch it over the skyline from high rise. It was so lovely.

lovely
We didn't see the sun and moon eclipse either. It's been raining for two days now.

Wow it's very beautiful. We had the supermoon on May 05, 2012 and yesterday was the partial Lunar Eclipse.

It seems every time the moon does something different, the clouds show up. Hardly ever get to see this happen.

Several Facebook friends posted some great shots of the Super Moon. I like your photo so much because of the detail you captured in contrast to the midnight sky. I need to do more work with night photography.

I saw the moon but I don't have a camera like yours. One day, in a daiscussion group, I said, I want a camera that my blogger friends have.
Guess the reaction from my husband? Well, I am still using my little camera. LOL

It's perfect! I can't take decent moon shots and I always love the way the moon looks. Really enjoyed seeing this one.

There was a total eclipse here a few nights ago but I didn't get to enjoy it.

I guess I should say "solar" not "lunar."
