Clouds Over the Niagara River

When Betsy and I visited my daughter and her husband in Buffalo last month, Kelly took us to Squaw Island, a park in the Niagara River near Black Rock, New York. While walking along the river I captured this picture of the clouds above a railroad trestle connecting Canada and the U. S.

Letchworth State Park: Upper Falls

Letchworth State Park in New York contains several beautiful waterfalls. This is Upper Falls, one of the larger falls in the park. The structures above the falls are piers of a railroad trestle.

Niagara River at the Brink

The picture above was taken on Goat Island, New York, and shows the Niagara River just before it goes over the Canadian (Horseshoe) Falls. The picture was taken when we visited Niagara Falls back in 2002.

Letchworth State Park, New York

In 2002 Betsy and I went up to Niagara Falls and spent several days enjoying those falls. On the way back home we visited Letchworth State Park in New York. Letchworth contains three waterfalls. Although smaller than Niagara they are all beautiful. The picture above is of Upper Falls.
