Someone Really Enjoys Snow

Someone (who shall remain nameless) was disappointed that we got very little snow from the storm that came through here last weekend..  We got plenty of wind and cold temperatures, but very little snow.  I had to go back into my archives to get a picture of that happy someone celebrating snow.  I really don’t like snow, but she’s so cute that I couldn’t resist getting a picture.

 

 

 

  

 

 

 

 

Worse than Snow

If you follow us on Facebook, you know that Betsy and I were without power for about 50 hours because of an ice storm that hit our area.  Our yard looks like a war zone with broken tree branches all over the ground, so it’s not pretty in our yard.  I got this picture of an ice-coated holly bush during a break in the storm.

Cool Thoughts

It's been so hot here on the Plateau this week, that I needed to find some cool comfort. I thought looking at this picture from a couple of years ago might help, but relief doesn't last very long.

Tuesday was another unbelievably hot and humid day here on the Plateau. This picture was taken in front of our house back on January 31. I hoped pictures like this would help me feel cooler, but it doesn't seem to be working.
