The leaves are gone from the trees in the Smokies in December, but there is still beauty to be found. This picture of the Little River was taken at the ‘Y’ — Townsend, Tennessee, entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Love how you have captured the movement in the river. Beautiful.
Great picture, Sweetie... I love the Smokies during EVERY season---but there is something special about WINTER in the SMOKIES....
Love,
Wifey
Such a dreamy look to this photo. Beautiful!
No matter the time of the year, there is always beauty in the smokies. May you and Betsy have a warm, safe Christmas. I appreciate you remembering me.
Love the flowing water. It always looks more cold when the trees are bare.
The water is like velvet, and I like the big smooth river stones, too.
Beautiful and cold looking. The water looks like satin.
It is a beautiful scene. The water is sure rushing downhill.
I LOVE your water scenes....always so beautiful!
Beautiful! The water is gorgeous.
The water looks soft and silky

Wonderful capture.
Lovely picture :)
As folhas desapareceram, mas os ramos das árvores permanecem firmes e vigorosos, o rio engrossa o seu caudal e ganha mais alento. Magnífica foto, George!
Desejo-lhe um FELIZ NATAL!

★ FELIZ 2015!!! ★
Sorry, George! I almost missed this post.. Beautiful shot! I wish you all the best in 2015.. Happy New Year!
I see the words "Little River" and my first thoughts go to the band (originally Australian) with hits like "Reminiscing, Lonesome Loser, and Cool Change." They had a smooth sound that was easy on the ears.
But HERE, we have a smooth surface on the water, which is easy on the eyes. Even though it's cold, that looks like a nice place to be right now. (It's probably warmer than here, anyway. We're near 0 degrees.)
I wish you and Betsy all the best in 2015, George!
So beautiful! Glad Betsy's knees been feeling better. I know she'll be happy to get the surgery overwith. Have a wonderful new year!
Hi George... Happy 2015 to you and your missus!
Lovely, Beautiful...
Love yout orchid header.
Wishing and hoping all is well since Betsy's surgery.
George, I love this photo - the rushing water looks more like a painting than a photo, how did that happen?
Great shot of the river, George. I can't remember if we saw it when we were there in November but even though it was cold then, it's probably even colder now. Here it's 99 Deg F. this week.
What a beautiful scene, such a serene view.
