Fontana Lake

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.  Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

I captured this May view of Fontana Lake in the Smokies a few years back as we were traveling along back roads in the area.  We stopped at an overlook that gave us this nice view of the lake and mountains.

I'm planning a trip to the Blue Ridge in my mind now ... as soon as I recover from my 2k ride out to MO and back.

I love how it is nested down inside the mountains. Can you please keep me informed on how Betsy is doing after her surgery?

I remember, about 35 years ago, hiking into Fontana on the AT... Beautiful place.

George that is so beautiful. Congratulations on the birth of your second great grandchild. I didn’t have the time to go to Wordpress to comment but love your post there too. Stay well and keep sending those beautiful photos. The spring mix is fabulous.
