Glenn Falls
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)
Glenn Falls was another unexpected find. Betsy and I were heading home on the Blue Ridge Parkway in June, 2007, and we decided to get off the parkway to find a place to grab a bite to eat. The nearest town was Vesuvius, Virginia, and as we rounded a curve on the outskirts of the town, we saw the waterfall pictured above.
We had no idea that the waterfall was there until we saw it. After we got home we had to do quite a bit of internet research to find the name.

George...I love the Blue Ridge Parkway...Virginia is a beautiful state, isn't it! Wishing you and your beautiful bride Betsy a lovely weekend.

This is really a pretty waterfall. I'm amazed at the number of falls you have been to!
Sunny :)
Two waterfalls cross each other and merge as one after reaching the pool.
This is a lovely little waterfall!
I can hear the rushing waters!
I've found that when you go out exploring, keeping eyes and ears open, you almost always find something interesting. Your post proves my point!
How very fortunate you were to find this waterfall since you were just looking for a place to eat!
I love the way the water crosses over itself. That's a lovely fall.
This one looks so natural and untouched! I don't even want to know if there is anything close by. :)
Great. I nearly can hear the sound of the falls.
we lived in fairfax for a while. i miss virginia, for some reason.
