Chinese Architecture

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

During my first trip to China I was absolutely fascinated by the traditional Chinese architecture (I still am). I took this picture of the roofline of the Friendship Hotel in Beijing in June, 1987.

The picture above was scanned from a slide.

I am ethnic Chinese, and I must visit China some day. Nice angle of the roof.

I am fascinated by Chinese architecture too, especially the elegant buildings such as this one.

I am proud to know that you like the Chinese Architecture though the hotel had nothing to do with me.

There is an amazing amount of detail in this building.I wonder if they still build like that,or may have gone more modern.

This picture really needs to be clicked on to see the intricate painting! This slide scanning must be tedious business, but the pictures translate so well!!

I am wondering if there is anywhere the two of you have not been, world wide travelers and followers of water falls.

How beautifully ornate and yet systematic that is!

How pretty and so intricate, who wonders how long it took to build this?

I was at that hotel and it was in 1987 when they still had floor attendants watching the rooms on each floor...It was every every time we went in and out...It was more than big brother is watching Big brother (or sister) was sitting right there outside your room
