One of our favorite drives in Autumn is the Cherohala Skyway, which goes over the mountains between Tennessee and North Carolina. The changes in elevation provide different colors as the road goes higher and lower. This picture, from my archives, is from a visit in 2009.

This is a beautiful stretch. I remember it well.
It is beautiful, George. We have so many conifirs here and mostly Bib=leaf Maple, Larch and Sycamore mixed in that we are green and yellow in the mountains. Lovely though. MB
