Cantina Iris

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.  Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

I think that about the only thing more beautiful than the blossom of a flower is the blossom of a flower with raindrops on it.  Our Cantina iris has petals with subtle colors in them which the raindrops seem to enhance.

George, this is breathtaking, I LOVE it!!! I have never seen one that is a purple shade this pretty. BUT it got stuck with a completely inappropriate name!! Non descriptive and pedestrian! Shame on the namer!

You captured the various shades of this beautiful iris so well, George. I think that the flower was refreshed by some gentle watering. I know you love your garden flowers and it shows in your photography.

I completely agree, George!!
We have many beautiful bloomers right now, and that same thought has actually had me wishing for a little rain shower on a couple of occasions. (though most would grumble .. we don't need more water right now!)
