Kunming Lake at the Summer Palace

I went to China four times to teach English as a second language..  Although the trips were work tris, I di get to do some sight-seeing while there.  This picture was taken in 1990 at the Summer Palace outside Beijing.  The picture shows Kunming Lake, the largest water feature in the palace grounds.  The Seventeen-Arch Bridge is in the background.

We don’t have much autumn color yet in this part of Tennessee.  It as too hot and too dry for too long this year.  But the movies can still be enchanting at this time of the year.  There wasn’t any color when I got this picture, but the for in the valley had a beauty all its own.
