We’re now enjoying the glories of Spring in the mountains of east Tennessee, but our mountains — and the Smokies in particular — are beautiful any time of the year. This photo was taken this past December from the Gatlinburg Bypass on an overcast afternoon.

Beautiful... YES--the Smokies are gorgeous in ALL seasons.... They would look different if you took that picture today I'm sure since we now have LEAVES on the big trees.... YEAH for Spring!!!!
Love,
Wifey
I have fond memories of the Smokies and Gatlinburg. I hope my daughter will take me on a tour some time later in the year. Lovely photo.
Our spring is reallt slow this year. Trees are bare and we are 7 days into,May.
Wow, I am so glad I enlarged this! It is gorgeous, especially the colors. And your header is a glorious and dark brooding masterpiece.
Beautiful capture! One time, we were staying at the Talley Ho in Townsend, and it was raining. I remember Doug looking out the window and saying, "Even the rain is pretty here." So we agree. The Smokies are beautiful, no matter what the season or weather.
That is a gorgeous photo. The depth in it is exceptional.
Lovely! It's been years since I've been to the Smokies but at least we have the Blue Ridge.
just beautiu George. Hope you are having a great week.
Fantastic shot and it gives a perspective of blue mountains!
Pretty shot.
The Smokies Mountains are on my bucket list. Until then THANK YOU!!!
Great photos of your winter mountains. As you say, I think mountains are always beautiful.
You take the most spectacular photos!
Lovely photo. Looks so surreal.
Dumb question from me. Is the Parkway open in the winter?
