Badaling
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)
Badaling is the pass nearest Beijing with a gate in the Great Wall. Climbing up the wall on one side of the pass gives a great view of the Wall climbing the other side of the pass and then snaking along the ridge tops.
The picture above was scanned from a slide.

Looking at the picture, it is not easy to walk to the other end.
I have always enjoyed reading a bout this place. Your pictures help me make tour that I will never do otherwise.
That is just such a unique sight. Thanks for sharing your memories.

Beautiful shot. I love your header photo as well!
Even though scanned from a slide, I could still click on it. I love the way you got so much of the windy wall into that one shot.
Thank you George for taking me on this trip, a sight I have always wanted to see. I love your header photo, so very hopeful!
Ooh... that's one place I would really love to visit! Beautiful capture, George!
I love all your shots of the wall. This is no exception.
Nothing is more impressive than the great wall of China!
