Cruisin(?) Down the River
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)
Nantahala Falls is the last and biggest rapid encountered by whitewater enthusiasts on the Nantahala River in North Carolina. It's not a waterfall -- just a Class III rapid -- but I think this kayaker got wet enough anyway. Betsy and I stopped to watch the excitement on our way home from a trip in May, 2009.

All I can say,'I'm glad he is in that water and not me' LOL

Not something I would want to do. Scary. MB
before i read your post, i thought I bet that is Betsy!!! what fun!
very exciting indeed!
Oh that does not look fun to me. I'm cold just looking at that.
Marvelous action shot! Love the daffodils in your header here too.
Hugs and blessings,
Wow! What a great picture! You can't even see the poor guys face! What a good catch.
It looks very scary George, I prefer to canoe in calm water. It's a very good shot, catches the action perfectly.
We kayak alot but never in anything like this! I don't like it when a wave hits me, let alone something like this!
I'd say this person is much braver than I am!
I would love to see the falls, but never ride anything in it or around it. Been out of town all day so I am late with comments.
Now this sent chills over me as the water seems cold lol
But what a ride!!!:)
My oldest son went down part of the Nantahala Falls several yrs ago. He had a ball.
