Pansy
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)
Each autumn Betsy and I plant pansies in the three small flower beds in our front yard. They provide color from autumn through the winter and into spring. This year the pansies survived a hard winter but bounced back in March. This picture was taken in April and the pansies lasted through the heat and humidity of June, but have finally given up the ghost.

I love pansies. There are so many pretty variations/colors nowdays.
Hey, George, when i enlarged the photo, the center brown looks like and angel, it even has a little face where the face should be. check if out.
Your pansies are getting old, they grow mustache.
A very pretty color combination. I thought my Pansies were dead but they came back!

I adore pansies...it is much too hot here in South Florida for them though.
Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend George!
Oh this pansy is so beautiful, I love it, and really enjoy your blog too, thank you for sharing all your beauties here, blessings Barbara from Georgia
A lovely flower! A pity that I can't have pansies or violets in my garden, for some unknown reaso they all give up the ghost!
They usually last through your winters? Wow, no chance for that here. (Chicago)
Such a pretty color! I have never had luck with pansies. Wished I did!
I've always liked pansies myself. They are so pretty and hardy too bringing a nice splash of color.
Lovely shot George. I think pansies are worth their weight in gold, they flower for so long and the variety of patterns and colours is endless.
I love the color of this one. When I was a child, I thought pansies had different faces, and I still do, can you see it?
This is a very pretty reminder of spring.

This summer has been so difficult on so many things...it sorta makes me sad...I missed all the blooms that are so pretty in June...
Love the sweet faces of pansies!!!
This pansy was shot to look like an angel surrounded by a halo. Very nice shot.
Hardy yet beautifully delicate. Gorgeous pansy.
What a dorgeous color little Pansy is !
I always think it is sad to see them leave, oftentimes still in full color, but this Southern heat is NO match for such sweetness.
Just so pretty.
Sorry I meant gorgeous ;)
They look so delicate, but are amazingly strong -- just like some people!!
George, very nice, never seen pansy of this color yet. Anna :)
At our home pansies bloom all summer and spread too!Lovey photo.
I wish pansies would bloom her in winter!
I will probably plant some come fall for the color; but I don't think they will survive our winter.
I think it's your green thumb George. :)
When I was a kid the word "pansie" was a word that we used to describe kids that were sissies. There's nothing sissy looking at all about that beautiful looking flower.
