Sun Gold Tulip

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

I'll try just about anything to beat the hot, humid weather we've been 'enjoying' for the past few weeks. I captured this tulip, Sun Gold, earlier this year in one of our flower beds on a very pleasant morning.

Seems that earlier part of the year came slowly and left quickly!

Oh how beautiful, and an unusual picture, for a tulip. I love that tiny bit of red around the edge.

I have never had tulips, but think they are so pretty. They just do not last long enough. Yours is a lovely shade of yellow.

Beautiful pure gold in my eyes, George. You deserve a medal for all the gorgeous flowers you tenderly care for.

This is a beautiful color!!! This weather is very difficult to deal with...we are having trouble doing any yardwork at all because of the heat...but those Japanese Beetles...they're loving this hot summer weather...wonder if I could stand inside and shoot them with something!!! I think they're big enough to see!!!

Beautiful, here in the South Island, some farmers grow fields of them, and they are very beautiful.
