A Tropical Paradise
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)
In 1987 I was able to spend a few days at a beach-front resort on the island of Bali. As a farm boy from Indiana I was mesmerized by the palm trees, the ocean, and the waves breaking over the reef. It was a few days in a tropical paradise.
The picture above was scanned from a slide.

Lovely picture! Reminds me of my vacations at the Andamans and Lakshadweep in India
Sounds heavenly. I love the surf, anywhere, anytime.
Quite a familiar view for me born in Sri Lanka :)
So very pretty - amazing view!
It would be amazing to me too. MB
what you liked about there is what we like about florida, waving palms and ocean/gulf breezes.
That reminds me...I NEED a vacation!

I'm guessing they have many beaches there? And you spent some time on them? did you ever get to see any of the Balinese dancers or actors?
This does look like a paradise.
You have a few days in a tropical paradise, but I have my whole life here.
I know what you mean. I grew up in Utah so the first time I saw an Ocean and palm trees I was awestruck. Your image tells it all.
Awesome !
I can only imagine the sound of the ocean, breaking waves on the reef, and the swaying of the Palm trees in the wind...heavenly !
I's always mesmerized by palm tree, George. I understand the feeling. And the ocean takes me back to my childhood. I think I would like it there a lot!
No Kiddin. George seems like we both walked in the soil. lol
I hear Bali is one of the most beautiful places in the world, George. How lucky are you!
what a scenic view;)
Splendid view!

Beaches in Bali are very popular among tourists. But, you know, many fishermen are prohibited from passing on the coasts. The reason is the existence of fishermen could interfere with the scenery. They lost their jobs. And the hotels that does not belong to us (people of Indonesia).
