Clematis

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

Not all of the blossoms in our yard are roses. We also have a pretty clematis climbing up a telephone pole guy wire. It has climbed a little higher each year and is now just about as high as a nearby redbud tree.

That's a lovely color George. It must be very happy where it is planted to grow so well.

It has climbed a little higher each year, and it will reach the sky one day.

Beautiful. Don't get me started on clematis! I love them, and we have bought three different varities at a nursery, they all wilted and died!! I now hear that you have to keep the ground covered and cool...

Lovely clematis! I like to plant two different colors together and then watch them grow together and bloom.

That is one beautiful flower George and that is such a good idea to train it up a guy wire...we have some really ugly ones on our property and I may try this!!!

Very pretty and how neat that it covers up a wire! Nice way to brighten up a utility pole.

It looks like a decoration for a Christmas tree, like the plastic flowers. It's nice to know that beautiful flowers like this one truly exist.

I like the way those flowers accent a home. We have one that grows on a trellis in front of the house each year. I find it tricky to get the right light.

This is beautiful and such a lovely pink.
I inherited a plant and for two years it seemed to do well. This year not a lot of blooms. I need lessons George. :)
