Betsy Got Her Snow

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.  Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

I took this picture yesterday (Monday) morning, looking out onto the fairway behind our house.  In addition to snow, as an added bonus, Betsy got some cold temperatures.  It was six degrees when we got up, and the temperature dropped all day.

Texas did not have snow, but we have temperatures way below normal. The chill factor is what kills you a along with the wind.Be careful when outside.

I know she was excited. We only received a dusting here but with the cold temps, it didn't go anywhere!

It LOOKS so pretty, but I'm glad Betsy has it and not me. I'm freezing!

Yes we were 6 degrees here in Iowa as you were in Tennessee. Our high will be 14 degrees. It is snow that you got for sure. Your snow will go away sooner than ours. Great photo.

It makes me smile to be reminded that the white stuff people complain about here 6 months out of the year really is special & appreciated by some.
If it's going to be cold (we reached the -50° wind chills predicted over the past few days) -then I'm glad that it's at least pretty!!
Happy New Year, George!

I'm glad you got the snow...the horrible cold is not good. But it shouldn't last too long for you, should it? At least I hope not!

Snow makes a pretty picture and your bride happy but I don't think I would like those temperatures. We have been seeing the plight of USA on the TV. You two keep warm and safe.

That's a cool shot. We had very dull depressing damp weather and last night there was a storm which broke a branch off a Douglas fir.
Our mountains complain about lack of snow although to look at them they seem full but now enough to ski.
