On the evening of Monday, December 16, 2013, Betsy and I were putting away the bird feeders when we noticed the almost-full moon rising above the trees along the golf course. I grabbed my camera and went out onto the golf course to capture this picture away from some of the trees.

Oh was this just last Monday night? Because last Tuesday there was some comotion in FB where they saw the beautiful halo around the moon, so i went out of our building and took the photos, however the halo already was so wide that i wasn't able to capture it. But i captured the still waxing moon still far from full. No matter what the moon is always a lovely subject just like sunsets.
Nice photo, George!
That couldn't be more beautiful if you tried! Love it George; you are the moon photographer extraordinaire!
Hi George, how was your Christmas and New Year? That's a very spectacular header picture. The moon picture is really beautiful and well taken. 2 thumb up for you.
Have a nice week ahead.Regards.
Excellent photo ...
I do not like full moonlight. Then I have sleepless nights.
Greetings.
It looks like last night's moon. Love the little haze around it. MB
such a gorgeous shot of the moon! i wish i had taken this one.
Lovely George!
Did you know this full moon was the apogee/miro-moon or the smallest full moon of 2014? I saw it come up and it was pink as it rose and I thought it looked so big in the sky. :)
You did a phenomenal job. It actually looks like the sky and landscape look at night. Since I just point and click, mine always looks like a white dot on black! The trees make a nice border on the bottom.
Werewolf came to mind...hahaha...
Beautiful photo George.
:-)
Poetic composition on the moon! Fabulous shot
Piękna Luna :)
George, I'd love to know how you capture this moon so bright and big. I've played with settings many times to capture the moon and yours is like you are so close to it! Love it!
